Kate Middelton is now playing a lead role in the next step for the monarchy as the royal family show they stand united for the future Queen.
The Princess of Wales was knocked back from her royal duties most of last year due to her cancer battle for nine months.
While Kate continues to be in remission, the royal has been taking time to ease back into the flow of her duties, making fewer but significant appearances.
On Saturday, all eyes were on Kate as she stepped out in a radiant teal Catherine Walker coat dress for the annual Trooping the Colour event – a key event on the royal calendar.
According to King Charles’s former butler Grant Harrold noted that Kate’s presence next to Prince William was a glimpse into the future and how the monarchy would look during their reign.
“Kate looked amazing, she took it in her stride and did everyone proud. She looked radiant and back where she should be — at the forefront of the royal family,” he told OK! Magazine.
“[The royal family] were all united together once again, and I’m sure the nation will be celebrating this.”
The ex-staffer noted that the balcony gathering of the family was a clear sign of a “united front”. Apart from William, Kate and their three children, King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
“Everyone’s eyes were on William and Kate,” he continued. “They are the future of the monarchy, the future King and Queen. They were very confident. It was lovely to see a very modern approach to the royal family and Trooping the Colour.”
