King Charles is set to make a big decision about Prince William’s private duchy after he received some upsetting news concerning his former home.
The monarch, who passed on his beloved Duchy of Cornwall to Prince William following his ascension to the throne, is making big changes after he gets news of a collapse of his former Welsh holiday home.
Charles holds special place for the duchy as spent decades modernising and expanding the it to ensure it remained sustainable for future generations. He also purchased Welsh base, Llwynywermod estate, which he had searched for a long time.
The monarch had planned to his former holiday home into a wellness centre, but the plans collapsed after the tenant went into liquidation owing artists nearly £500,000, reported GB News.
King Charles had leased the Llwynywermod cottage near the Brecon Beacons National Park to Arusha Gallery, per The Telegraph. However, it was confirmed on Tuesday that the gallery was entering liquidation proceedings. The gallery allegedly owes almost half a million pounds in missing payments to 10 artists.
Social media posts promoting the wellness centre launch have been deleted.
The news comes just months after the gallery was set to launch workshops and retreats at the property this month.
While it the future of the property remains uncertain, it is understood that King Charles has cancelled the current plans.
Meanwhile, Prince William has been actively making changes around the Duchy of Cornwall after he officially inherited it from his father. Meanwhile, the King is now the Duke of Lancaster as he took over his new private estate after becoming the monarch.
