Eric Dane shares upsetting news ahead of 'Euphoria' Season 3
'Grey's Anatomy' star Eric Dane makes shocking confession about 'Euphoria' role
American actor Eric Dane revealed an upsetting news ahead of the Euphoria season three premiere.
The Grey's Anatomy star shared to People that he has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
"I have been diagnosed with ALS," the actor, who shares two teenage kids—Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13—with wife Rebecca Gayheart, disclosed.
"I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter," he added.
As the Charmed actor made his medical diagnosis public, he clarified that his health condition hasn’t marred his plans to return for Zendaya starring in the HBO series.
"I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week," the 52-year-old actor laid bare. "I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time."
Dane, who plays Cal Jacob, Jacob Elordi’s character Nate Jacobs's strict father, will begin filming for his part on April 14, per the magazine.
Notably, the production of the much-anticipated third season kicked off in January with Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Tom Holland’s fiancee and other cast members.
