Akshay Kumar draws parallels between character and himself as film hits theatres

Akshay Kumar is offering an inside glimpse into his upcoming biopic Kesari 2, heaping praise on C Sankaran Nair for his bravery.

The Welcome actor, who is all set to portray the role of an inspiring real life figure on screen, took to his Instagram on Thursday, April 10, to draw parallels between Nair and himself in the character.

Meanwhile, he wrote in the caption, “The mind of the South. The might of the North. Together, we fought. Together, we rose.”

Taking pride in the opportunity to play one of the unsung heroes of the nation, the actor further went on to add, “Honoured to bring to life C. Sankaran Nair— who took the British Empire to court after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The courtroom drama also stars Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill and R. Madhavan as Neville Mckinley alongside the Hera Pheri actor.
