Cristiano Ronaldo reuniting with THIS Real Madrid star
Al Nassr player is set to meet former Real Madrid footballer in Saudi Arabia
Cristiano Ronaldo is uniting with a former Real Madrid player.
Fernando Hierro is set to meet Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia as he is joining Al Nassr, according to Goal.
To take over as sporting director, Hierro, appears close to agreeing a deal, reported ESPN. The former Spain and Madrid player earlier refused the Saudi Pro League runners-up's approach. However, they have managed to convince him to opt for a better offer.
Hierro's move to Al Nassr will see him reunite with Ronaldo. As a player before leaving for Qatari club Al-Rayyan in 2003, Hierro spent 14 years at Madrid.
As an assistant coach during Ronaldo's successful spell at the club, he joined the Spanish giants after his retirement from playing.
Hierro became part of Mexican side Chivas as sporting director in October 2022 and now he will take up the same role at the Riyadh club.
Though they reached the Clausura final in 2023, the Liga MX side have not been able to gain a trophy since the former player’s arrival.
