Prince Andrew was stripped off of another title in a ruthless blow by his eldest brother King Charles.
The Duke of York, who is embroiled in a sexual assault controversy, had lost his most cherished role as patron of York Racecourse to Queen Camilla, via GB News.
The disgraced royal, who was stripped off of his titles by late Queen Elizabeth, owing to his ties with convicted paedophile Jeffery Epstein, announced in 2019 that he would no longer be a working royal.
Meanwhile, Camilla is already patron of the National Stud as well as being president of the Ebony Horse Club, a riding charity in London.
Given her keen interest in racing and breeding, her new title allows her to build on her existing roles linked with the sport.
York Racecourse chairman, Bridget Guerin, shared that she was “both honoured and thrilled that Her Majesty has agreed to be the royal patron of York.”
The news comes amid speculation that Prince Andrew will soon face eviction from his Royal Lodge by King Charles.
A source told Daily Mail previously that the monarch will be shocked over the conditions of the property that it currently in.
“There is no doubt the King will be alarmed at the true state of the residence after the duke assured him everything was in hand.”
