Hush money trial: 'Paralysed' Stormy Daniels wears bulletproof vests to court
Stormy Daniels is key witness in former president Donald Trump's criminal trial
Adult star Stormy Daniels, a key witness in the first ever criminal trial of former president Donald Trump, wore a bulletproof vest under her outfits while testifying in the Republican candidate’s hush money trial, South China Morning Post reported.
During an interview with CNN, her lawyer Clark Brewster revealed that Daniels is "paralysed" with fear.
He said: "She was concerned about the security coming into New York. She was paralysed with fear, not of taking the stand or telling her story, but of what some nut might do to her. And I’m genuinely concerned about it as well."
However, many people have noticed that the adult actress shows no signs of fear during her appearances at court. Under cross-examination, she displayed no sign of threat or discontent and appeared confident as the former president's lawyer discredited her.
After stepping out of court, she even posted on social media, criticising the former president.
She wrote: "Real men respond to testimony by being sworn in and taking the stand in court. Oh! wait. Nevermind."
At the centre of this case, are 34 felony charges against the former president, accusing him of falsifying business records in order to hide secret payments made to Daniels to keep their affair hidden before the 2016 presidential elections.
