Aggressive dogs claim life of woman in Georgia, injuring several minors
Police in Georgia report killing of 35-year-old woman by aggressive dogs
Authorities in Georgia said that a woman with her two children came under attack by a number of aggressive dogs at a bus stop behind Brooks County Middle School that killed the mother and injured the minors, reported People magazine Sunday.
The attack injured several children including two of hers. They have been hospitalised for their injuries.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) stated in its press release that a body of a 35-year-old woman Courtney Williams was found by police officials after they received reports of an apparent late-afternoon encounter with "several aggressive dogs."
The local media WALB reported that the incident left two of her own children injured, while the GBI said that authorities headed to Webster Road in Quitman around 4:45pm local time following "a complaint of multiple minors being attacked by a dog."
Officers the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office after arriving at the scene found "several aggressive dogs on the property."
Police then "subsequently located" Williams' body "in the yard of the home," the GBI said, adding that “an autopsy will be performed by the GBI Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause and manner of death."
”I do feel for the family and for the kids because now they are going to have to celebrate Mother’s Day without their mother,” a neighbor told the outlet.
