Alia Bhatt expresses desire to wear 'Gucci-inspired saree' at Met Gala
The Bollywood diva is all set to make fashion statement on the red carpet of Met Gala 2024
Alia Bhatt once expressed her desire to wear a 'Gucci-inspired saree' at the Met Gala.
In her old interview with Elle US Magazine, the Heart of Stone actress opened up about her love for iconic Indian wear sarees.
The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress said, "Whoever invented the saree was a genius: it’s meant for our weather in India because it’s airy and light, and you feel like you’re enveloped by a cloud."
She added, "Your mood can go from zero to hero the minute you put one on. The saree does it all at once: it has softness, femininity, and s** appeal. It encompasses everything."
The Bollywood diva, who is the first Indian global brand ambassador for the Luxury brand Gucci, shared, "It would be a dream to help design a Gucci-inspired saree and wear it to a massive event like the Met Gala."
Notably, Alia is all set to make a style statement at this year's Met Gala.
The actress jetted off to New York City on May 4 to attend the festival, scheduled for May 6, Monday.
The internationally celebrated artist made her debut at the Met Gala in 2023 by wearing designer Prabal Gurung's white gown, made of 100,000 pearls.
