Priyanka Chopra praises Kiran Rao 'gem' film 'Laapataa Ladies'

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas commended the recently released film, Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the 42-year-old actress took to her Instagram account to share a story, providing her review of the film.

The Bajirao Mastani actress extended her congratulations to the team and filmmaker Kiran with heartfelt wishes. 

She expressed her gratitude to Kiran for making the film, acknowledging the film's informative message.

While sharing the poster of the film, Priyanka penned, "Thank you for the entertainment and education @raodyness! Congratulations on this gem and make more movies!.”

For the unversed, Lapaataa Ladies is a comedy-drama film, backed by Aamir Khan.

Its storyline revolves around two ladies, who accidently get swapped during their train journeys.

The film, based on Biplab Goswami’s award-winning novel, features a stellar-cast, Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan.

Laapataa Ladies made its debut on Netflix on April 26, 2024, followed by its theatrical release on May 1, 2024.

On her professional endeavor, Priyanka Chopra is currently appearing in the American spy-action series, Citadel, available on Prime Video from April 28, 2024.

She will next be seen alongside John Cena and Idris Elba in the Hollywood movie, Heads of State.
