Salman Khan once proposed 'Heeramandi' actress Sharmin Segal for marriage

Heeramandi fame Sharmin Segal reminisced about Bollywood star Salman Khan proposing to her.

During a recent conversation with Zoom, the 28-year-old actress recalled meeting with the Tiger 3 star for the first time on the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which left a lasting impression on her.

When inquired about the first celebrity she met in person, Sharmin revealed it was Salman Khan, when she was just two years old. 

Talking about the marriage proposal moment, Sharmin said, “I was like 2 or 3 something, and he was like, “Will you marry me?” and I said, “No!.”

The actress said that at that young age, she obviously didn't grasp the concept of marriage and responded negatively to everything.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sharmin last appeared in the series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, currently streaming on Netflix.

The period drama based on the pre-partition lives of courtesans of Lahore is directed by Sharmin's uncle, who is a Bollywood renowned filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The star-studded cast of Heeramandi, which is receiving a lot of praise from viewers and many celebrities, also includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha in the lead roles.
