Elon Musk sees SpaceX Starship on Mars by 2030, predicts AI to outsmart humans soon
Tesla, X owner also confirms future version of Starship "will travel to other star systems"
Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starship rocket is set to land on Mars by the end of the decade, whereas, a future version will travel between the stars.
The statement comes from the billionaire days after the company celebrated major progress after the rocket’s third test flight in a collaboration with Nasa to return astronauts to the moon, according to Forbes.
“This Starship is designed to traverse our entire solar system and beyond,” Elon Musk said.
Musk further added that its range is limited “to the cloud of objects surrounding” our solar system.”
He also vowed that a future version of Starship “will travel to other star systems,” noting that this “future Starship” would be “much larger and more advanced” than the current generation.
On the other hand, Elon Musk has also warned that artificial intelligence will be smarter than "all humans combined" in the next few years.
With the futuristic tech seen walking around the factory floor, the SpaceX head's chilling prediction for the future of AI comes as developments on the Tesla Optimus humanoid robot continue, according to Daily Star.
Musk's claim was also supported by futurist Ray Kurzweil.
According to Ray Kurzweil, the pace of artificial intelligence upgrades would see the bots "match any person" by 2029.
