The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director revealed his plans for the year, hinting at another project.
Speaking to his fans and followers during the live session, Johar admitted that he’s on a lookout for another film, focusing more on other things besides love.
This came after a netizen asked him about his upcoming venture, referring to the highly-anticipated Sangam starring Ranveer and Deepika.
The Koffee With Karan host was quick to comment, confirming: "No, I’m not making a love story. I think my love story quota kind of needs to take a little bit of a break but the film I am writing definitely has a string love story embedded in it, so love is something I can’t do without music is something I can’t do without so that all will always be a huge part of my cinema."
He also spoke of returning to sets by the end of 2024, gearing up for his new directorial.
Karan shared that he’s "nearly done with the screenplay" and is a "week away" from his first draft, confirming that this would be the "fastest turnaround" between his two movies.
The Student of the Year director predicted, adding: "July we complete a year of Rocky Aur Rani and few months’ post that I want to be directing again. It’s not cast, nothing has been eyed.”
His most recent directorial Yodha's trailer has garnered appreciation from fans all across the world, praising Sidharth Malhotra’s remarkable comeback as the lead actor.
