Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez hailed the Al-Nassr superstar’s 53-goal haul in her Instagram story.

The Portuguese star took his goals tally to 53 for the calendar year in 2023 on Boxing Day.

Rodriguez reposted Al-Nassr’s publication to celebrate Ronaldo’s 53-goal haul on her Instagram story, adding the caption: “Maximo goleador 2023”, which means "top scorer 2023."

The Portuguese star achieved the feat by scoring a brace in Al-Nassr's 5-2 win against Al-Ittihad. The star player could have added to his tally in the next match between Al-Nassr and Al-Taawoun on Saturday.

No other male player has scored more goals for club and country in 2023, with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe both stuck on 52.

However, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is the only player who can catch Ronaldo as he scored 50 goals for club and country this year. City is set to play Everton on Wednesday evening.

Although Haaland missed City's last seven games due to a foot injury and his inclusion is doubtful, if he returns and scores a hat-trick at Goodison Park then he will share the title with Ronaldo.
