Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American entrepreneur and Republican presidential contender, was recently caught in an awkward moment during a live X Spaces talk with SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, and others.
Around 2.3 million people tuned in to the conversation.
During the Space, Ramaswamy stopped Musk and said, "Gentleman, I have to go," while the latter was discussing getting Infowars founder Alex Jones back on the social media network. Meanwhile, as the session went, some participants mentioned hearing the sounds of flowing water in the background. "Someone is peeing with their thing open." "Someone has their phone in the bathroom," Alex Jones observed.
According to a tape of the Spaces discussion that was published on the network, Host Mario Nawfal remarked, "Vivek, that's your phone." But I can't silence you." Ramaswamy instantly recognised what had transpired and apologised profusely for the unpleasant situation.
Musk added, "I hope you feel better now". Replying to the same, Ramaswamy said, "I feel great. Sorry about that guys."
This incident sparked several reactions on X. The owner of the platform added, "I'm literally rofl rn."
"Legendary moment," said a user.
"That was pretty damn funny," commented a person.
Another added, "As a host of a live show, random shit like that happens, LOL."
"I left the microphone hot once to come back to find my cat attacking it and meowing into it, LOL."
"At least he laughed about it," added a user.
