      ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday said the overseas Pakistanis faced unnecessary hassle when they reached Pakistani airports, urging the promulgation of a one-window scheme at airports in Pakistan in order to facilitate them.

      A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, on Monday heard the suo-motu case regarding misbehaviour with the overseas Pakistanis.Justice Jawad S Khwaja said that those earning billions of dollars of foreign exchange for Pakistan were deprived of facilities when they came to their homeland.

      He observed that unlike the airports of foreign countries, in Pakistan, old persons and ladies had to wait for long in queues before they were entertained. The Supreme Court directed the Federal Investigation Agency, immigration officials, Civil Aviation, and high-ups of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation to hold a joint meeting to resolve the matter and present the report of the meeting at the next hearing, to be held on October 1, 2012.
