Lamine Yamal's girlfriend Ines Garcia takes major step after emotional statement on past relationship

Spanish football star Lamine Yamal’s girlfriend Ines Garcia has made a major decision after she broke silence on her past relationship following hateful messages online.

As per claims, Garcia had ended her previous long-term five-year romance just for dating Yamal.

However, she took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared an emotional post to respond to claims.

In a lengthy statement, she said: “I never thought that sharing something so simple would turn into this.”

“I've spent hours reading the comments and, although I'm trying to tough it out, I'm a person too. Behind this account is someone who feels, who cries, who makes mistakes, and who doesn't stop being human just because she's in a relationship.”

She continued, “I understand that not everyone has to like everyone else. I understand criticism when it's respectful. But there's a huge difference between having an opinion and taking the time to humiliate, insult, or wish the worst on someone you don't even know.”

Yamal and Garcia’s relationship came to the spotlight during FIFA World Cup 2026.

She also joined Yamal and his family after Spain defeated Argentina in the final to clinch the World Cup title.

Following her statement, Garcia has taken a major decision to protect herself and social media posts from hate comments.
