Prince William and Kate Middleton will not let Harry & Meghan's UK return distract them
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK, the former working royal's estranged relationship with the family has remained under intense scrutiny. Especially after Buckingham palace stated that the Sussexes will remain private citizens.
Now, an insider has revealed to People Magazine that Harry and his wife, Meghan's estranged relationship with the royal family is hard to ignore: “It’s been magnified.”
Noting, “When they were in California, and you gazed through the looking glass, you couldn’t see it so well, but it is right back in front of them.”
Furthermore, a royal expert, Russel Myers stated, “William and Catherine can maintain that their focus has to be about them and their family, but there will be pressure on them about how they interact with Harry and Meghan and their family in the future.”
“The King and William are completely united on the Sussexes not representing the royal family,” he added. “It’s without a doubt how in sync they are on this matter.”
“William’s view is clear — any relationship his father has with Harry or the Sussexes as a family is entirely up to him.”
“But looking toward the future, he will have no relationship with them, in a working or private capacity whatsoever,” Russel further claimed.
On the other hand, a royal historian, Amanda Foreman described Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship as a “very, very cold war.”
“At the moment, it has gone from being a hot war to a very, very cold war. But in a cold war situation you still have to turn up to the Olympics,” she said.
Royal author Simon vigar revealed that the Prince and Princess of Wales are staying away from Sussex's drama, stating, “It is to keep calm and carry on.”
He went on to say, “They see it as a sideshow and ancient history.”
While Amanda discussed the pressure and questions Prince William and Princess Catherine may face about their relationship with Prince Harry, “It will be incredibly draining.”
“They will always have to look over their shoulders and factor them in. And all they can do is deflect. Yet, they’ll get lots of jabs and questions: ‘When are you going to make up with your brother?’ ” she added further.
