Prince Harry, and Andrew mocked by Palace insiders with brutal nickname

Prince Harry and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were reportedly mocked behind palace walls with a brutal three-word nickname, reflecting the frustration palace insiders felt toward both men over the disruption they were believed to have caused.

According to a source quoted by The Times, palace insiders privately referred to Prince Harry and Andrew as the “Dukes of Hazard”, a cutting play on words suggesting both royals were seen as liabilities to the institution.

Both Harry and Andrew have stepped down as senior working royals, albeit under very different circumstances. Prince Harry formally exited royal duties in 2020 alongside Meghan Markle, triggering years of tension with the Royal Family following a series of interviews, documentaries and Harry’s memoir.

Meanwhile, Andrew has faced escalating humiliation in recent months after he was stripped of his remaining titles and honours by King Charles amid renewed scrutiny over his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The nickname resurfaced as Andrew again dominated headlines following the release of a vast trove of Epstein-related material by the US Department of Justice.

Among the images reportedly circulated were photographs said to show Andrew reclining across the legs of several women at what was claimed to be Sandringham, the King’s private Norfolk estate.

The document release followed comments from US Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who said that the need to protect Epstein’s victims meant hundreds of thousands more documents would be made public in the coming weeks.
