King Charles recalls trip he 'could never have survived it now'

King Charles is recalling a trip he wouldn’t have survived in his senior years.

In a new video shared on Instagram, Charles was seen talking to naturalist and explorer Steve Backshall, who recreated his 1975 trip to the Canadian Arctic.

Steve asked His Majesty to share the most "overwhelming" thing he did while on the memorable trip.

"Well, diving under the ice. That I vividly remember," replied Charles, adding, "and also, failing to get the dog sled to work because it had snowed overnight before I got there."

"So there was too much powder snow. The dogs couldn’t pull it," he recalled.

"So, then I had to run along behind, which nearly killed me, dressed like that," he remarked, pointing to a photo from the trip in a magazine that Steve showed him.

When Steve asked if he found the dog sledding invigorating, the King replied, "It was fantastic."

The caption of the post read: "The King recalls memories of his 1975 trip to the Canadian Arctic - taking in dog sledding, embracing freezing temperatures, and learning about the local culture."

"Earlier this year, adventurer Backshall.Steve retraced The King’s steps, looking at the impact of climate change 50 years on," it added.
