Ariana Grande is seemingly stuck with blonde hair for life.
The actress, who dyed her hair blonde three years ago for her role as Glinda, decided to bring revert back to a brunette while doing promotions for Wicked: For Good.
However, it did not work out well.
In an interview with a French journalist on November 17, the 7 Rings singer admitted that it hasn’t been easy saying goodbye to her blonde hair.
"I'm still adjusting and so is my hair. It's spitting out the toner. Every time I wash it, my hair doesn't want to be brunette. I'm not method, but my hair is method," she joked in reference to the term method acting.
"I'm telling you, I wash my hair one time and I woke up with highlights. I did wake up blonde again," she said.
Grande continued, "My hair doesn't want it, it's not ready yet. My hair is rejecting the toner. I'm not kidding, it's refusing."
Previously, in conversation with the Entertainment Weekly, the thank u, next crooner revealed why she bid farewell to her blonde hair in the first place.
Grande explained that for the original part she wanted to celebrate Glinda as "an extension of her and extend the time with her through clothes, through the blonde and through everything."
However, for the sequel’s press tours she decided to "show up as the actress who played her and play into the darker tones of the movie. It's fun to play with hair and makeup and fashion."
After wrapping up Wicked: For Good, Grande is set to star in Frocker In-Law with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.
The film is set to release on November 25, 2026.
