George Clooney reflects on challenges of being a movie star in Hollywood

George Clooney has recently reflected on challenges of being a movie star in Hollywood.

The Wolfs actor was in conversation with Scottish broadcaster Edith Bowman at the British Film Institute’s large theatre on the south bank of the River Thames on November 21.

“Every opportunity to have an interview or to have a conversation could result in the end of your career,” said the 64-year-old, per Variety.

George pointed out that he’s “not on Twitter or Instagram or any of social media accounts because I drink”.

Batman & Robin actor quipped, “You know, 3 a.m., my Mother Teresa joke might not play so well when I wake up the next day.”

George admitted that his children keep him grounded, saying, “My son, for Halloween, dresses up as Batman. He has no idea that I’m Batman. And I said, ‘You know, I was Batman,’ and he’s like, ‘Err … no.’”

“He has no idea how right he is,” remarked the ER actor.

During the discussion, George took a hilarious dig at Brad Pitt, jokingly saying that in the upcoming Ocean 14 movie, starring Brad, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts, “we are all in wheelchairs”.

“It is like, you know, all the things we used to be able to do that we can’t do anymore… It’s gonna be like The Golden Girls,” explained the Ticket to Paradise actor.

Therefore, George added, “We’re looking forward to that and I’m not sure when we start that yet.”

“It’s about getting the schedule going, and we also have to take all of the budget and give it to Brad, now that he’s had a hit. He’s hard to live with, you guys,” added the Jay Kelly actor.
