It: Welcomed to Derry creators have finally answered the most asked question from fans.
Ever since, they have dropped the official glimpse of the upcoming series, fans were waiting to see the first look of Bill Skarsgård as the hideous clown.
However, the makers kept fans waiting for quite long as they introduced Pennywise just few days before the premiere date of the show, which is set for October 26.
Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane has finally addressed the reason behind delaying the introduction of the clown.
He added, "The benefit of long-form storytelling is that we can spend a little bit more time on the other forms that Pennywise can take to scare the characters, and you can delve more deeply into the characters.”
Meanwhile producers Andy and Barbara Muschietti told Screen Rant, "It's been very important, from the first movie, to treat him as a very unpredictable character. In order to do that, you cannot have the audience get comfortable with him."
As per Barbara, if you want to bring out Pennywise, “you've got to bring him out with all his complexity in the right moments, otherwise It loses its power.”
She has assured fans that “he is still as terrifying as he is because of that dose-ification."
