Boy found strangled after abuse
LAHORE
A 7-year-old boy was killed after abuse in the Kahna police limits on Monday.
Police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy and started investigations. Punjab Chief Minister took notice of the incident and sought report from the IGP. The victim was identified as Talha Asghar, son of Muhammad Asghar, a resident of Kahna.
The victim used to go to mosque to learn the holy Quran. On the day of the incident, he did not return home. Locals of the area found the body of a child near No 5 Soay of the area and informed police.
Police took the victim’s father to identify the child. A police official said the victim was strangulated to death. Police said the killers had first abused the victim and later killed him. Police took two suspects into custody and collected forensic evidences for further investigations.

The police said a passerby spotted the dead body of an unidentified 45-year old man. The body was removed to morgue for autopsy.
113 FREED FROM JAIL: District and Sessions Judge Nazir Ahmad Gajana along with Judicial Officers Sh Imran and Malik Rehmat Ali visited Central and District Jail and ordered release of 113 inmates.
They visited different parts of the prisons including juvenile ward, female barrack, kitchen, hospital and different confinement places.
The judge started forestation campaign at the jail. He showed his full satisfaction over the facilities available for the rehabilitation of prisoners.
UK DELEGATION MEETS IGP: A two-member delegation of British High Commission along with Scottish Police experts met with Punjab IG Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera at Central Police Office.
The British delegates included David Morgan, Senior Advisor Rule of Law and Ian Bracewell, First Secretary at British High Commission, whereas Addl IGP Operations Punjab, Arif Nawaz, Addl IGP Training Usman Khattak, DIG Headquarters Punjab, BA Nasir, DIG Training, Saad Akhter Bharwana and SSP Monitoring, Waqas-ul-Hassan represented the Punjab police.
The members of the delegation assured the IGP to extend their full cooperation of their expertise in investigation, counter terrorism, operation and training departments. The IGP thanked the delegation for their support and help. Later, Usman Khattak presented a police souvenir to the delegation.
EIGHT KILLED IN ACCIDENTS: At least 638 accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which eight lives were lost and 549 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts. Some 224 victims who sustained minor injuries were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid.
vehicles: On the directions of inspector general, National Highways & Motorway Police, central zone has started a special campaign to check vehicles without proper lights. While directing officers of Motorway Police, DIG Mirza Faran Baig said vehicles without tail lights or with poor visibility of tail lights can become a cause of serious accidents.
The officers of Mobile Education Unit of N-5 Central Zone are visiting different bus and heavy transport terminals to brief and educate the drivers about the importance of proper lights. DIG Mirza Faran Baig asked officers to strongly discourage the usage of halogen lights and the practice of using high beams while driving as it causes inconvenience to others and can result in serious accidents. All the sector commanders have been asked to personally monitor these campaigns to make them result oriented.
