KRACHI: Sindh Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Wednesday said that special funds are being allocated for Thar to cope with the current situation and to provide better health facilities to the people.

This he said while presiding over a meeting here in his office. Hepatitis Program Manager Dr Khaliq Sheikh also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Health Minister expressed dissatisfaction over slow and poor construction work at Korangi-5 hospital and directed the secretary health to write a letter to Chairman Anti-Corruption against the XEN and the contractor for sheer negligence and poor quality of work and to take legal action against them.

He also directed Program Manager Hepatitis to focus on high risk areas and vaccine the targeted people. He asked him to launch a pilot project in certain areas to prevent people from this deadly disease.

On this occasion, Program Manager Dr Khaliq Shaikh briefed the minister health about Hepatitis Program´s performance.
