OCCUPIED SRINAGAR: Indian police have arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with several party leaders and activists in Occupied Srinagar, today (Friday).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the police arrested Yasin Malik, Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi, Mushtaq Ahmed Dar, Bashir Ahmed Kashmiri, Muhammad Ameen Mugloo and others from Zakoora area of Srinagar when they were on their way to address a public gathering in Kangan area of Gandarbal district.
They were lodged in Zakoora police station.
The JKLF spokesman in a statement strongly denounced the arrest of Malik and others, saying that the puppet administration was using cheap tactics to keep the pro-freedom leaders away from the people.
He said that victimization of pro-freedom leaders was the worst kind of state terrorism.
Meanwhile, the puppet authorities continued to place the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan under house arrest in Srinagar.
