Ivy Youth Leadership Olympiad 2015 starts

The opening ceremony of the three-day Ivy Youth Leadership Olympiad 2015, an international inter-school and college annual talent competition, was held at Roots Ivy International Schools and Roots School System, DHA-I Campus, says a press release.
In the Olympiad 2015, over 5,000 students from all over the country as well as from other institutes of the world are participating. The competitions include Pakistan national assembly (youth parliament), youth perspective on human rights laws, young diplomats caucus (creating young diplomats), literature boulevard, declamation contest, ad-making, e-gaming, battle of the bands, fashion show, business idea contest, math olympiad, master chef, street graffiti, thematic art, talent hunt, treasure hunt, amazing race, dramatics and photography contest.
Khadija Mushtaq, CEO of the Roots Ivy International Schools, officially inaugurated the three-day talent-marathon and welcomed all guests and delegates along with their respective teachers from educational institutes. She encouraged them to avail such opportunities to explore their hidden talents and compete with the nation’s best. She also congratulated the Roots Ivy, DHA-I Campus team and students for their efforts.
The chief guests for the opening ceremony and judges included Vittorio Cammarota, director of the United Nations Information Centre, Ms. Valérie Khan, Conseiller Consulaire- Asie Centrale chairperson of Acid Survivors Foundation Pakistan, Kanwal Naseer, senior anchor, Saqib Rafiq, RCCI senior vice president, Aqil Obaid, RCCI vice president, Mubeen Zafar Regional Head – North, JS Bank, Mouzzam Bashir, area head of JS Bank, Kausar Jahan (artist), Usman Ghani (Adorn Jewellers), Manto, former principal of CB College, Kaneez Zehra Sharrif, associate professor head of Department of Pakistan Studies, CB College, Yawar Abbas, head of Design Department Comsats, Muzamil Hassan Zaidi, CEO lolz Studios, Zoha Zuberi, Coke Studios, Hashim Ali along with members of the media.
They were highly impressed by the talent and aptitude of the young students and awarded shields to the winners.
This year, Ivy Youth Leadership Olympiad 2015, previously known as Roots National Arts Spectrum, is being held from November 26 to 28, marking the sixth edition of this incomparable success. This event will be held at the flagship campus in DHA, Phase 1, Islamabad, and Roots Ivy International University College, Rawalpindi.
The biggest names in literature, science, arts, cookery, fashion, movie and music industries were invited to be a part of this mega event. The performances by the participants stole each show overwhelming the crowd and making them give applause leaving the audience spellbound.
