BUREWALA: People have shown concern over 14-hour unscheduled electricity loadshedding in the city and its adjoining areas.
The power supply remained suspended for several hours without any prior notice from the Wapda authorities. The power shutdown paralysed all activities in the city. The business community also faced problems due to power shutdown. The people demanded the government take steps to overcome energy crisis.
THQ HOSPITAL VISITED: DCO Nasir Jamal and DPO Sadiq Ali Dogar on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the Emergency Ward of the THQ Hospital here and checked availability of doctors and facilities for the patients.
He asked the doctors to provide medical treatment to the patients on humanitarian grounds and said that the government of Punjab had provided all emergency medicines free of cost for patients and doctors must ensure availability of these medicines. He directed to improve cleanliness condition at the hospital. Later, both officers also visited Fruit and Vegetable Market and monitored auction process of fruits and vegetables and checked functioning of security cameras at the control room. Assistant Commissioner Saifullah Sajid and DSP Zulfiqar Ali were also present.
