ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Wednesday received the biggest jolt of this year when two of its senior leaders, including a former information minister, joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) here along with hundreds of their supporters.
Syed Samsam Ali Bokhari, who served as the state minister for information during PPP’s previous government and former MPA Muhammad Ashraf Sohna from Okara became part of PTI after meeting Chairman Imran Khan here.
Bokhari was presently PPP’s information secretary Punjab while Sohna was its president of Okara district. Muhammad Arif Lashari of PPP from Islamabad also announced to join PTI.They all reposed confidence in the leadership and manifesto of PTI in the presence of Imran, national organiser Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jehangir Tareen and Naeemul Haq.
Imran welcomed them and said his party would continue its journey towards bringing a healthy change in Pakistan and soon traditional politics would be dumped once and for all and a true Islamic welfare state would be established in Pakistan.Independent MNA from Multan Malik Amir Dogar and Ikramullah along with his son also became part of PTI.
