PPP says PTI planning to rig AJK polls
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Rubina Khalid has said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had stolen the 2018 general election and was planning again to steal the mandate of the people in the election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement on Thursday, she said the PPP would not allow the rulers to do so in the coming election.
She believed rulers had been selected and misused the government machinery and funds to get the results of their choice and had assigned duties to their members of national assembly and Senate. Senator Rubina Khalid asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of the alleged planning of the “select” government to rig the elections as the rigged elections would have no legitimacy.
The PPP leader alleged that the federal ministers were pressuring the voters and misusing their powers.
Senator Rubina Khalid hoped that the AJK people would reject the PTI candidates as they had always backed the PPP in the past for its role.
She was hopeful of the PPP win in the AJK election and forming a government for the welfare and development of the people.
