Bus knocks two motorcyclists dead
In a tragic incident, two friends died in a road accident in Landhi in the early hours of Tuesday.
A 22-year-old man, Sherry, son of Wali Muhammad, and Hidyatullah, 18, son of Ghulam Rasool, were killed near Baitul Hamza when a speedy passenger bus hit their motorcycle around 3am on Tuesday night. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The bodies were conveyed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Police said that the victims were going to visit someone when the accident took place. A crowd of people gathered at the spot and tried to set the bus on fire; however, police and firefighters reached the scene and saved the bus from being burnt.
The funeral prayers were offered at Eidgah ground in the Landhi 89 area which was attended by a large number of people. Later, they were laid to rest at a local graveyard.

On Sunday, a man had died and his wife suffered critical injuries when their motorcycle was hit by a car near Nagan Chowrangi. The man was identified as 35-year-old Ghulam Qadir, son of Shaikh Jumman.
