Security at Chinese Consulate revisited

LAHORE:DIG Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed visited Chinese Consulate to review its external and internal security arrangements.

The SP Special Protection Unit (SPU) briefed the DIG Operations about the security arrangements and deployment of security personnel. The DIG Operations directed the officers and officials of SPU to remain alert and provide foolproof security to the Chinese Consulate. He directed that snipers deputed on the rooftops should keep a vigilant eye on all the movements around the consulate building.

Meanwhile, the DIG Operations visited police stations of Mustafa Abad, Qila Gujjar Singh and Garhi Shahu. The police officers concerned briefed him about the working of their respective police stations.

Rai Babar Saeed inspected lock-ups, front desks, record rooms and other sections of the police stations. He checked the attendance of the staff and cleanliness condition in the police stations.

He expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of the record and issued warning to the Mustafabad SHO to improve the mechanism for record keeping along with cleanliness of the police station. He directed the officers and officials to behave politely with the citizens and complainants.
