ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday announced that Twitter had recently suspended the accounts of a number users from Pakistan without warning and on unsubstantiated grounds. In a statement, the telecom regulator stated that it considered the Twitter admin’s action against the set principles of freedom of speech. Social media users are encouraged to report such suspended accounts to PTA at content-complaint@pta.gov.pk so that the issue can be raised with Twitter officials, it added.
