LAHORE: Sattukatla police handed over the body of Dr Maleeha, who was found dead in the washroom of Shaukat Khanum Hospital on Saturday (Nov 23) afternoon, to her family without an autopsy. A spokesman for Lahore police said the family of the doctor had given written statement to the SHO Sattukatla that they did not want to initiate any legal action against the hospital administration. They also refused to get post-mortem done. The family claimed she had died of cardiac arrest. The doctors on duty had tried to save her life but they could not. Sources said the body of the victim was recovered in washroom by the housekeeping staff as her fellow doctors got perturbed over her missing from the hospital for long time. As the door of the washroom was opened, she was found dead. It is being suspected that she committed suicide. However, the body was sent to Karachi. She had done her MBBS from Dow Medical University Karachi and recently passed her PLAB examination. Her fellow doctors were in a shock over her death and refused to comment about the motives behind

her death.
