LAHORE: PTI leader Jahangir Tareen on Friday said he always believed that the disqualification under Article 62 (1)(f) should be for life but it was not applicable in his case. "I always believed 62 1(f) to be for life but not applicable in my case," said Tareen on Twitter on Friday. "Full money trail provided of tax paid income, property declared in assets of children and not mine on advice of tax consultant. This was the only issue. My review is still pending and justice will prevail," he added. PTI leader Naeemul Haque echoed Tareen’s remarks. “As far as [Nawaz] Sharif is concerned we welcome this decision. He has looted and ruined this country,” he added. He said they respected the Supreme Court verdict but the cases of Nawaz and Tareen were different because the latter was not in government. “Tareen has continued to play an important part in the party and will continue to do so. He does not need to hold a position in order to contribute to the party,” Naeem said. PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi did not comment on Tareen's disqualification but urged the PML-N to accept the verdict.
