FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) has bagged fourth position among 461 universities of the Islamic world due to its valuable contributions in agriculture and biological sciences and veterinary category.
The ranking was made by the Information Technology University – Quality and Research Ranking (ITU-QRR). The recent statistics, released this week, declared the UAF as the number one university among 101 universities of the country in the said categories. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqbal Zafar has described the new ranking a remarkable accomplishment and a matter of pride for faculty, scientists, alumni, students and staff. “We could not be more proud of this significant achievement,” he added. He said the ranking would further cement the belief among many that the UAF was indeed the finest university in the Muslim world.
