'Power Ballad' actor Paul Rudd gushes over co-star Nick Jonas
Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas stars together in 'Power Ballad'
Paul Rudd talked about his working experience with Nick Jonas in Power Ballad.
Speaking with People Magazine, the actor gushed over Jonas' acting skills.
Rudd said, "I can't say that I was surprised because I've seen him act, but he did things that were kind of so subtle and really deft, the stuff that was going on behind his eyes."
"He'd be going through these dilemmas, and he's not saying anything, but you can read his mind. It's such good acting, and I was just amazed at some of the stuff he was doing," he added.
Furthermore, Rudd noted that he didn't realise how good Jonas was until the movie came together. "When I saw the movie, it was like, ‘Oh my God.' There were scenes that I wasn't there to film, and yeah, he knocked me out.'"
"So, not much of a surprise, but I kept thinking, ‘Oh, I need to remember this.' And he's just cool. Like he just plays everything cool because he is cool," Rudd added.
As per synopsis, Power Ballad is "a feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition." In the movie Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd play a famous singer and wedding band musician, respectively. They came into conflict after the Jonas Brothers member steals Rudd's idea for a song and turned it into a hit.
Power Ballad is set to release on June 5, 2026.
