TAKHT BHAI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and advisor to prime minister Amir Muqam on Tuesday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) of horse-trading in the Senate election.
He was addressing a gathering in Shergarh after inaugurating a gas supply line.
Amir Muqam said that those who talked about change had introduced horse-trading in the Senate election by awarding tickets to billionaires instead of old party workers.
He said that PML-N secured majority in the Senate. He added that PPP leadership was now indulging in the horse-trading to get the Senate chairman’s slot.
PML-N leaders including Member Provincial Assembly Jamshed Khan Mohmand, Sattar Khan Mohmand, Saqib Ali Khan, Nazim Khan Muhammad, Abid Yousafzai and others were present on the occasion.
Amir Muqam said that PML-N leadership had rendered matchless sacrifices for the continuity of democracy.
“Nawaz Sharif is being punished for strengthening democracy,” he said, adding that the PTI chief was conspiring against PML-N leadership, but he would not succeed in his designs.
