Entertainment-starved Peshawarites enjoy fashion show
PESHAWAR: The entertainment-starved residents of the city enjoyed a rare fashion show at a hotel here.
The audience at the jam-packed Khushal Hall of the hotel saw beautiful models displaying some fabulous designs.
Shazia Kayani, Faisal Imam, Sana and Huma, some of the premier dress designers in Pakistan, had designed the apparels.
The people, particularly the young girls, evinced keen interest in garments of designers like Feroza & Fareha collection and Mansoor Rajput Collection. The visitors enjoyed the show and appreciated the efforts of the organisers.
The hotel in collaboration with Media Sniffers organised the event to provide entertainment to dwellers of the provincial capital, who suffered a lot due to militancy for more than a decade.
The models did catwalk and received applause from the audience, who enjoyed the glamour and excitement.
The event was well-attended as a large number of women showed up. The theme of the fashion show was bridal and casual. Some stunning dresses were introduced on the occasion.
Earlier, formally re-launching Bukhara, a rooftop barbeque, the hotel’s general manager Rashid Rauf Banday said provision of quality and delicious food at reasonable prices was the top priority of the hotel management.
He said the rooftop barbeque include dishes like fish, dum tikka, lamb chops, mutton tikka, dumpukh, karahi, chapli, reshmi and beef seekh kabab, malai chicken boti, and taka tak and Charsadda rice.
The general manager said the hotel would keep arranging these kinds of events for the people of Peshawar so that they can have some fun. He said that showing the soft image of Peshawar in particular and the province in general was the purpose of arranging such events.
Speaking on the occasion, Tahir Mehmood Khan Vice-President, Media Marketing and Communications Hashoo Group, said the management would keep providing entertainment to the people. He said the main purpose of the event was to promote the soft image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tell the world that its people were peace-loving and caring.
