PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has disposed of a petition filed by a former advisor to the chief minister from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Mashal Yousafzai, seeking the removal of her name from the Immigration Stop List.
The case was heard by a bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Abdul Fayyaz.During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel, Alam Khan Adeenzai, informed the court that Mashal Yousafzai had been placed on the list, which prevented her from traveling abroad. He requested the court to order the authorities concerned to remove her name from the list.
Assistant Attorney General Ishaq Khalil informed the court that Mashal Yousafzai’s name had already been removed from the list. Consequently, the court disposed of the petition.In a separate case, the PHC granted a three-week protective bail to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Focal Person for Minority Affairs, Wazir Zada, and sought the case record from the federal government.
The petition about the details of cases filed against Wazir Zada was heard by Justice Muhammad Naeem Anwar and Justice Kamran Hayat Miankhel.During the proceedings, the petitioner’s counsel, Alam Khan Adeenzai, informed the court that several cases had been registered against Wazir Zada in Islamabad, but the details had not been provided.The counsel stated that his client wished to appear before the relevant courts but feared arrest.
