PCB reschedules PSL-11, PSL-12 to adjust international series
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly finalized the playing windows for PSL 11 and PSL 12, marking a strategic shift in scheduling to accommodate international cricket commitments and enhance the tournament’s global appeal.
According to sources, PSL 11 will take place from December 2025 to January 2026, while PSL 12 is scheduled for January–February 2027. This adjustment deviates from the traditional February–March timeframe, making PSL-11 the first edition of the league to be played entirely across December and January.
The move to an earlier window is aimed at avoiding clashes with Pakistan’s packed international FTP, which includes ICC events, bilateral series, and domestic competitions over the next two years.
The PCB intends to maintain player availability, attract overseas talent, and maximize commercial value by restructuring its flagship T20 tournament. For PSL-12, the January–February slot repositions the tournament closer to its pre-COVID traditional window, while accounting for ICC events and FTP commitments that could influence player participation. International fixtures. Players will be split into three groups, but Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen will attend all sessions, reinforcing their leadership role within the squad.
