AS Physics paper allegedly gets leaked
The AS level physics paper has been circulating on WhatsApp for quite some time. Students confirmed that this was the same paper they had taken, and that they had received some parts of it on WhatsApp. They said the AS biology paper 2 had also been leaked earlier.
Inter Boards Coordination Commission Executive Director Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah said he is also receiving constant complaints about Cambridge papers being leaked, but the sad thing is that Cambridge is not cooperating on this issue.
“In the past, when papers were leaked and Cambridge confirmed it, we were kept unaware of what action was taken against those responsible,” he added. Cambridge Sindh spokesman Arsalan Rabbani said: “We’re aware of the alleged leaks of specific exam questions, and fully understand the concern and frustration these claims cause students and their families. We’d like to reassure you that our legal and compliance teams urgently investigate all evidence thoroughly so that results are fair.
“We have seen a significant amount of fake information, including scams circulating on social media. We urge candidates not to engage with anyone claiming to have access to question papers, and that doing so can be malpractice.
“We don’t comment on specific allegations during an exam series. We don’t wish to distract students at an important time. Our advice is to focus on preparing for upcoming exams. If we have any more information and actions to share, we don’t typically comment via social media on such allegations.
“Cambridge holds over two million exams each year in 160 countries. It’s very rare for the integrity of an exam to be compromised, but if we find compelling evidence that it has, there are several actions we may take to minimise impact and ensure each candidate receives a fair grade. We take appropriate sanctions against centres and candidates where we have evidence of malpractice.”
