ISLAMABAD: The federal capital will have its first seven-star hotel on the Srinagar Highway and its construction could start any time by the end of the year. This was announced by Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada.
The hotel will be build through public-private partnership, Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada said and added a state-of-the-art hospital would also be built, under the similar process in the vicinity. The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) entrusted with the projects has reversed an earlier decision and approved the seven-star hotel and an international hospital in Sector G-13 of Islamabad, situated on the Srinagar Highway Link Road of new international airport, the minister said.
The projects would be built under public-private partnership (PPP) and through an open auction.
In addition to the hotel and hospital, FGEHA has identified 11 more sites for development via the PPP mode. They include plots for an IT tower and an international office hub in G-13, a shopping mall in Skyline Project, an international school in G-14/2, and residential-commercial projects in Rawalpindi and Murree.
