Arrest warrants issued for PMLN leaders
Court issues arrest warrants for Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz and other accused for their non-appearance
ISLAMABAD: The court of Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Abbas Shah has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Member of National Assembly Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, Ali Nawaz Awan and other accused for their continuous non-appearance despite being summoned in two cases registered against the PTI real Azadi March.
During hearing on Tuesday regarding the cases registered against the founder of PTI and others at Kohsar Police Station, none of the accused named in the case appeared in the court. The court issued arrest warrants for Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz and other accused for their non-appearance. While arguments could not be made on the acquittal applications of the accused either, and Judge Abbas Shah said that he will hear the acquittal applications in the presence of the accused, to which Sardar Masroof Khan Advocate said that earlier in several cases, arguments were made on the acquittal applications in the absence of the founder of PTI and they were acquitted. The court adjourned further hearing on both the cases till April 23. Two cases against the founder of PTI and others were filed at Kohsar Police Station are listed.
