Free medical camp arranged in Torghar
MANSEHRA: The Pakistan Army Medical Corps organised a two-day medical camp at the Basic Health Unit in Judbah, Torghar, on Monday, where over 3,661 patients, including women and children, received medical checkups and medicines.
“We provided complete medical checkups and free medicines to patients brought to the camp from remote areas of the district,” Dr Naz told reporters.Patients from various parts of the district visited the camp during the two-day event.
Dr Naz said that on the first day of the camp, 892 patients-including 412 men, 212 women, and 270 children-received medical checkups and completed medication packages.“On the second day, we treated 2,749 patients who were brought from the high mountainous areas of the district and provided them with necessary medicines,” she said.
Dr Naz said that patients with complicated medical conditions were referred to the Combined Military Hospital in Abbottabad. “Torghar is still without a District Headquarters Hospital, and such medical camps provide a great relief to us,” said one of the patients.
