JUIF leader succumbed to injuries before he could reach hospital
PESHAWAR: A prominent religious scholar and leader of the Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal Qazi Zahoor Ahmad was martyred in an apparent target killing incident in Ahmadkhel area of the provincial capital.
Attaullah, a brother of the deceased religious leader, told The Badaber police that Qazi Zahoor was returning from mosque in Ahmadkhel when unidentified attackers opened fire on him.
The JUIF leader succumbed to injuries before he could reach hospital. The family told the cops they had no enmity. The body of the deceased was sent to Khyber Medical College for autopsy.
Senior police officials along with forensic experts and investigation team arrived at the spot and started the probe. Police officials said two empties of 30 bore were recovered from the spot.
