Four Khwarij killed in North Waziristan operation: ISPR
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities
RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed four Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On night of January 14 and 15, the security forces conducted an IBO in general area Spinwam, North Waziristan, on reported presence of Khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.
During the operation, troops effectively engaged Khwarij’s location and after intense exchange of fire, four Khwarij were sent to hell, it said.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for killing four Khwarij.
