Exhibition: Nowshera college students showcase skills through creative projects
NOWSHERA: A senior official said on Sunday organizing competitions and exhibitions for innovative projects highlighted the exceptional creative skills of college students.
“Such students are expected to play a vital role in addressing economic challenges and proposing practical solutions by presenting better economic strategies, ultimately contributing to the development of Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” said Additional Director of Colleges KP, Mohammad Iqbal Khan.
He made these remarks during a media interaction at Government Postgraduate College Nowshera, where Joint-Management Council level competition and exhibition were organized for innovative projects by students from 14 boys and girls’ colleges in Nowshera district under the auspices of Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and under the special instructions of Director of Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Fareedullah Shah.
College Principal Professor Ehsanullah Khan, retired Director Professor Subhanullah Shah, Principal of Girls College Nowshera, Rozina Rehman Khattak, Principal of Girls College Pabbi, Mrs. Shaheen, and the event’s organizers, including Professor Dr. Faik Jan and his team from Postgraduate College Nowshera, were present.
The exhibition featured 85 projects and 42 research models, including works of calligraphy, carpet making, scientific devices, useful objects made from experiments, clothing, and more.Government Girls Degree College Pabbi secured the first position, followed by Government Postgraduate College Nowshera in the second and third positions.
Mohammad Iqbal Khan and Professor Ehsanullah said the Higher Education KP was striving to highlight the abilities of college students and provide opportunities for them to harness their talents.
They hoped that such competitions and exhibitions would encourage students to excel and contribute not only to their personal growth but also to the economic and financial development of Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They speakers that it was essential to teach and learn with practical application and research, as the development of advanced nations was rooted in new experiments, innovations, and research.
The officials urged students to engage in research, new experiences, and observations to prepare for practical life.The students from Government Postgraduate College demonstrated successful experiments using bio-diesel made from used oil and waste, providing an affordable and eco-friendly energy source.
Similarly, students from Home Economics College Pir Pai showcased recycled wood and old furniture transformed into beautiful new furniture, along with art and culture works in calligraphy and embroidery, earning praise.
Government Girls Degree College students impressed people with innovative work on using chemistry, physics, and math to create affordable methods for purifying polluted water from factories.
