LAHORE: Nishtar Colony police arrested a criminal who was shot at and injured by his own accomplices. The police had received a report about three individuals causing a disturbance and harassing a passerby under the influence of alcohol. When a patrolling team arrived at the scene, the suspects opened fire, inadvertently injuring one of their own accomplices. The police arrested the injured suspect identified as Ali Hasnain.
Six die on road in 24 hours
The ESD responded to 1,407 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, six people died, whereas 1,474 were injured.
