KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday announced a public holiday in all government offices on December 25 on account of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary, a Geo News report said.

A notification was also issued by the provincial government in this regard, wherein a holiday was announced on December 26 for Christian employees in connection with Christmas.

The founder of Pakistan’s birth anniversary is celebrated by the nation with great enthusiasm and devotion. The day will dawn with gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals after which a graceful changing of the guards’ ceremony will be held at the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi.

Official ceremonies and events will be scheduled throughout the country to pay tribute to the Quaid’s life, political struggles, and significant role in the creation of Pakistan.

Special programmes have been arranged by various social, political, and non-governmental organisations and forums across the country.
